Access to information about clients of the Public Defender’s Office is restricted, since our case files are exempt from disclosure as public records. However, the Office provides limited access to some case information that is otherwise public in nature.

When our office is appointed, an electronic case file is opened in our case management system within two working days. Once the case is assigned to a division by the Clerk’s Office, an attorney is assigned to the case and that is noted in the file.
